The Pyrenees extend from the Bay of Biscay on the Atlantic side to the Mediterranean Sea, a distance of about 491 km (305 miles). They cover an area of over 116,399 km² (20,000 square miles) with an average height of 1067 m (3,500 ft).
We are Simon and Lucy founders of Aragon Active, and your hosts on the special interest holidays and activity holidays that we offer.
We moved to Aragon in the central Pyrenees because this area still remains off the typical, well- worn European tourist route, and is much less developed than the Alps. Here there is a rugged wild beauty. Indeed, the Aragonese Pyrenees are considered the jewels of the Spanish Pyrenees.
Our renovated farmhouse, a superior category turismo rural, is close to both the Ordesa National Park and the Natural Park of Sierra de Guara. When you stay with us you therefore have a unique opportunity to explore two very contrasting landscapes. As well as the terrain, there are marked differences in climate, architecture, culture and history.
