Trail Running Holiday Reviews Pyrenees

Gillian. Glasgow. September 2016.

I stayed at Casa Allue recently for a trail running holiday and I can honestly say it was one of the best trips I have taken. The location is stunning and the farmhouse renovation has been done so well. It far exceeded what I was expecting.

Simon and Lucy provided our running group with fantastic guides who were able to provide both the local knowledge of the Pyrenees mountains and years of experience of trail running. We were treated to fantastic runs with simply stunning views every day. I'm struggling to pick any one run as the best one, as each one had something a bit special. The word "WOW" was used a lot!
If you like trail running, you'll love this holiday. Hill training is good idea prior, but the guides were able to cater for different levels of fitness and pace without any issues.

Not only were local guides provided, but we ate a lot of locally produced food during the holiday. Simon and Lucy grew a lot of the veg we were eating, so fresh it was picked less than an hour before we were eating it. Just fantastic! (I hope there is a blog or cookbook coming with the recipes soon!).

It was clear from the renovation carried out just how much the hosts cared for the environmental impact, reusing what materials they could.

This holiday far exceeded what I was expecting in a trail running holiday. Our group was so well looked after and we were treated to some fantastic runs in the Pyrenees mountains. I will be back for sure!

PS. Gillian has now booked for our 2017 week - 16th-23rd September!!

Trail Running Holiday Reviews Pyrenees

Rob. Milton Keynes. September 2016.

I stayed at Casa Allué as part of a trail running activity holiday and can honestly say that everything was fantastic, Lucy and Simon's attention to detail is exceptional. The house has been renovated to the highest standards and is beautiful and the setting is stunning.

The food was fantastic and plentiful, which given the appetite that I developed was great news!

The local area is truly stunning and unspoiled, and was a lovely surprise as I had never visited this area before.

I can thoroughly recommend Casa Allue and will return as soon as possible.
