Juice Retreat Spain
Below we give an idea of what we will be doing on a typical day on our Juice Retreat Spain.
Every day there will be fresh organic juices, a mix of herbal teas including a detox tea, and an optional soup in the evening. There will also be a daily walk to either the river or a local natural pool. In the late afternoon we will meet together in a group activity or listen to a talk given by Amanda on juicing, cleansing, and nutrition.
On two mornings there will be an excursion by minibus to a local point of interest. On the other four mornings you can choose from our a la carte menu of optional extra treatments below, or simply relax on the terrace soaking up the view and the sunshine.
A la carte menu of optional treatments:
Nutrition consultation with nutritionist Amanda Spring.
€55/approx 1 hour. Juicers have a single consultation included in their package.
Nutrition forms the basis on which good health is gained or lost. It is much more than just what we eat. It is how the body digests, utilises and eliminates the nutrients in what we eat. Getting nutrition right often requires an experienced hand to firstly identify important dietary change and then to provide the support necessary to maintain these new healthy eating habits.
Colon hydrotherapy with hydrotherapist Amanda Spring.
€95/2 sessions, the first approx 1¼ hours and the second approx 1 hour.
Colon hydrotherapy aids elimination and is therefore a natural accompaniment to any cleansing/ juicing programme. It is also beneficial in its own right, particularly where digestive issues or bowel issues are a problem.
Massage at the farmhouse with a qualified masseuse.
Thai massage: €40/approx. 1 hour with local therapist Christina.
Thai massage is done on a mat on the floor, fully clothed. The therapist gently stretches the body to release blocked energy.
Swedish massage: €40/approx 1 hour with local masseuse Carmen.
Swedish massage is soothing and relaxing, a lovely way to release tight muscles.
Hatha Yoga with local teacher Amelie.
Individual Yoga therapy, €90/ 2 sessions, the first approx 1½ hours and the second approx 1 hour. Group sessions can also be arranged.
Amelie helps people to listen to their bodies, to understand posture and alignment, and to query and find the right way for them.
It is recommended that during your Juice Retreat Spain you have 2 colonics, 2 Thai massages and 1 Swedish massage. The total cost for all 5 therapies is €215.

How to Get to Albella
When considering the options below why not add on a couple of nights to include a city break.
Flying to Zaragoza
Our nearest airport is Zaragoza. Ryan Air offer flights all year round from London Stansted.
Arrival time in Zaragoza is normally 16.40 and departure 17.05. We do offer a pick up and drop off service – see below.
Flying to Barcelona (El Prat) & Madrid
Barcelona and Madrid are hubs for international flights from outside Europe. If you are arriving from the USA, Canada, Australia or another international destination these are the best options.
There are also flights from many UK airports. All the low cost airlines fly to both cities.
We can provide transfers from both Zaragoza airport and Zaragoza train station, the cost is €70 return. Our pick up and drop off times are below.
Pick-up: 17:00 airport / 17:15 train sation.
The journey time for the high speed Renfe train from Barcelona and Madrid to Zaragoza is approximately 1½ hours.
To find train times and prices try the site direct or GoEuro. The latter also gives times and prices for travel by bus and car.
Prices by train are approximately 90 euros return from either Barcelona or Madrid. Trains can be booked 3 months in advance.
Be aware that paying with a foreign credit card can be problematic, however, using the same card via PayPal is very straightforward – we speak from experience and are here to help if you run into problems!
From Zaragoza it is two hours to our base in the Pyrenees.
Transfers from other airports can be arranged and would be charged on a pro rata basis.
The base for our Guided Walking Holiday Spain is our 17th century farmhouse, Casa Allué. It nestles on the hillside in the small farming hamlet of Albella, within the Pyrenees Geopark and close to the National Park of Ordesa and the Natural Park of Sierra de Guara.
We undertook a major restoration project to transform Casa Allué into both a family home and a “must stay” destination.
The transformation complete, we have created a home from home. The bedrooms are spacious with luxury en suite bathrooms and thermostatic rain showers. All have mountain views with plenty of natural light. Four have stone balconies, perfect for star gazing, as the night skies here are breathtaking.
Each room is named after the wildlife that surrounds the house.

Simon and Lucy – Your Hosts & founders of Aragon Active
We are a husband and wife team, but more than that we are a family. Penny and Sofi, our two daughters are an integral part of Casa Allué, our family home, where you are welcomed not just as our guests, but as friends.
Here, you can disconnect completely, leaving behind the worries of everyday life, surrounded only by nature. It’s what drew us here in the first place to start our new business.
