Culture and Gastronomy Holidays Spain
Trip Overview
With gentle walks, we will explore the central Spanish Pyrenees on our Culture and Gastronomy Holidays Spain. A land rich in history, architecture, gastronomy and culture. Neolithic Dolmens mix with formidable forts, medieval monasteries, ancient ruins and Romanesque churches.
The June and October weeks are planned to include the local fiestas. These are authentic Pyrenees experiences well off the normal tourist trail.
We are Simon and Lucy, your hosts, a husband and wife team who pride ourselves on our personal service, the care we take and our attention to detail.
You will be staying at our exceptional, renovated farmhouse, within a UNESCO Geopark, a place of particular geological interest and close to the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, a UNESCO world heritage site.
The group size is limited to a maximum of 8 people.
Why not organise a group of 8 friends! We can then make this a private holiday.

Culture & Gastronomy Holidays Spain Reviews
Our 8-day experience on the culture and cooking week was probably the best travel experience I ever had. – tied with Galapagos! Lucy and Simon were incredible hosts who knew so much about the area and shared it enthusiastically with us. We hiked and visited so many sites, filling each day with new experiences! The countryside is beautiful and the ancient small villages and towns so photogenic. The food…well the food was outstanding, from the homegrown veggies and fruits to the wild boar stew, hunted by a neighbor. If you want to experience the Spanish Pyrenees at its best, this is the trip for you! I will never forget it and our incredible hosts!

We did the gastronomy and culture holiday and found everything really great. Lovely accommodation, stunning scenery, delicious food and wine and a warm welcome from Lucy and Simon awaited us. Everything was meticulously organised to make sure we made the most of our time in this beautiful part of Spain. We visited historic towns and villages, monasteries and a cathedral as well as watching in awe as vultures circled above us. Cookery workshops were a real highlight and great fun.
