Our Holiday Rental Torla-Ordesa

Casa Petirrojo is our Holiday Rental in Torla-Ordesa. The cottage nestles below the church, just 3 minutes down the steps from the medieval village of Torla-Ordesa.
Historically a hillside barn, it has been converted into a beautiful stone cottage on 3 floors.
It sleeps up to 4 comfortably and is equally suited to a family, or for 1 or 2 couples, each with the privacy of their own floor and bathroom.

A south facing sun terrace means alfresco dining from spring through to autumn.
For winter stays, we have an open log fire and central heating.

Please note the house is only accessed by 29 steps.  There is a free carpark 250m away, by the Ordesa National Park visitors centre.

No Smoking and No Pets are allowed.

The Layout

Three Bedrooms and Two Bathrooms

Holiday Rental Torla-Ordesa

Casa Petirrojo is composed of three floors:

Middle Floor: Dining and seating area with 2 seater sofa, 2 armchairs and open fireplace.  Open plan kitchen with dishwasher, under counter fridge/freezer, combination microwave with convection oven and grill, 2 ring ceramic hob plus induction plate.

Upper Floor: Double bedroom and second small single bedroom.  Bathroom with bath/shower, heated towel rail and WC.

Lower floor: One large bedroom with a double bed and one single. Bathroom with cubicle shower, heated towel rail, bidet and WC.  Utility room with washing machine. Airing rack, ironing board and iron.

Outdoor Terrace: Chairs, tables, and parasol.

Equipment

With all the comforts of home

We have all the comforts of home at our Holiday Rental Torla-Ordesa.
A fully equiped kitchen, including combi microwave oven, toaster, kettle, French and Italian style cafetieres, teapot and cooking utensils.
An open fireplace adds to the ambiance, and we can provide wood and kindling (supplement €20 per 25kg crate).

There is 5G Wifi and a TV. We also leave a comprehensive hiking guidebook in the house.

Included in the rental are bathroom and kitchen towels, bed linen, cleaning either side of your visit, taxes, and all services (electric, central heating etc.)
We also provide basic provisions such as coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, w/up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, toilet roll, kitchen paper etc, all to get you started for the week.

This is a strictly a non-smoking house.

TORLA-ORDESA VILLAGE

Torla-Ordesa is a beautiful medieval village; narrow streets wind up the hillside with fine examples of Aragonese architecture. There are a number of excellent restaurants as well as two small supermarkets, adventure companies, tourist information with free WiFi, 2 banks, doctors, chemist, local butcher and a number of bars.

Torla-Ordesa is known as the gateway to the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.

Our Holiday Rental Torla-Ordesa is in the perfect position, only 5 minutes up the steps to the village, and yet far enough away to be private.

NATIONAL PARK OF ORDESA

On our very doorstop is the main entrance to the spectacular National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.  The park Visitors Centre is just 150m away from the cottage.  From here, in peak season, and other certain times of year, you can catch the shuttle bus into the Ordesa valley. Outside these times, the park can be reached by car (8km).

Established in 1918 the national park covers over 156 km² with beautiful trails and dramatic walks. The Pradera is the starting point for most of the walks in the Ordesa valley.

Classified as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and a Special Protection Area for birds it cannot be missed!

ACTIVITIES

There is so much to see and do in and around our Holiday Rental Torla-Ordesa that we have guests who return year after year.

At the very least you should take the 4×4 Ordesa Trip.  This four-hour trip will take you to see spectacular and unforgettable views of the Ordesa Valley.  Reservations must be made in advance.

For the more adventurous try Via Ferrata close by in Broto, with Aventuras Pirenaicas.  There is also canyoning or white water rafting.  Any one of the adventure companies in Torla-Ordesa can organise these for you.
