“We have been on a number of excellent hiking vacations in the past, but our stay this October with Lucy and Simon of Aragon Active at Casa Allué surpassed them all.” Pati. Ontario. Canada

On our Guided Walking Holiday Spain you enjoy spectacular walks, whilst we take care of everything else. You will be staying at our beautiful renovated farmhouse within the Pyrenees Geopark, close to the National Park of Ordesa, and the Sierra de Guara Natural Park.

Our location means we have a huge choice of walks, with no two days being the same.
Unlike many companies we also offer a walk for every day of the holiday, and we cater for you throughout the week, truly fully inclusive.
Of course you always have the option of a day off!

Our walks are moderate to challenging (see our Guided Walks page), all fully guided by local Spanish mountain guides.

Please note: some of the high mountain routes do not open until June due to snow. However, the choice of walking here means we are never short of an alternative route!

During all our walks we make regular stops to spot wildlife and look at the geological, historical and cultural points of interest.

Our Guided Walking Holiday Spain is equally suited to the solo traveller, walking club, or group of friends.

If you like the sound of this holiday, but fancy easier walking then please take a look at our Wildlife & Walking Holiday or our Cooking & Walking Holiday.
Alternatively, escape the grey days of winter on one of our Snowshoeing holidays. On these weeks we mix walking and snow shoe walking.

Why not organise your own group! With a minimum of 6 people we can make this a private, tailor made holiday.

Just Some of Our Reviews on this Holiday…

“We have been on a number of excellent hiking vacations in the past, but our stay this October with Lucy and Simon of Aragon Active at Casa Allue surpassed them all.

Lucy and Simon are outstanding hosts – they were so welcoming and went above and beyond to provide us an unforgettable experience from every perspective.

Their knowledge and passion for Aragon and the Pyrenees was evident the entire holiday. We greatly enjoyed our time exploring Ordesa National Park with them, and their guide, Alberto. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. In our explorations we also learned so much about the history, geology and culture of the area. Lucy and Simon provided us opportunities to experience these firsthand by incorporating unique outings such as an up-close experience watching endangered vultures as they soared through the valleys of the Pyrenees, a lunch at a spectacular mountain-top farm restaurant and visits to various and historically significant medieval villages. We even participated in an impromptu village road-side celebration of music, dancing, wine and sweets!”

Jeff & Pati. Ontario. Canada. 2019

“An incredible week in an unspoilt region of Spain. Lucy and Simon were the perfect hosts: genuine, generous, and with amazing attention to detail. Keeping group sizes small results in a personal touch which is nowadays all too rare. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and spacious, and the food was plentiful and delicious, with a focus on fresh local ingredients where available. The walks had an amazing ratio of effort to reward, and our guides were extremely knowledgeable, with infectious enthusiasm. On the day we were rained off, Simon and Lucy went out of their way to make our day just as interesting with an emphasis on local culture. Simon and Lucy are clearly passionate about sharing what they have with their guests, and it shows in everything they do.”

Rachel. Birmingham. 2019

“For anyone who loves hiking but wants to relax at the end of the day and be looked after in beautiful accommodation then this is the perfect company to book with !
Lucy and Simon Woollons have beautifully restored their stone farmhouse to create high quality accommodation in a picturesque village in the Spanish Pyrenees. But this is just the start of their boutique small group holiday concept.

Part of the beauty of their business is that they offer such a range of experiences but they all have in common the wonderful location, the stylish and comfortable accommodation, the tasty abundant home cooked food, the company of other guests and the warmth and friendship of Simon and Lucy.
I was travelling solo and wanted a week of hiking and I couldn’t have chosen better. Every aspect of my week was perfect. Every day they chose a walk that best suited the group and the weather, sometimes guiding us themselves and often using experienced and knowledgeable local guides. We had unseasonably warm weather but this made for splendid views and raging waterfalls and rivers because the snow was melting so quickly and I was hot enough to brave a quick dip in an icy cold mountain pool!
I highly recommend booking a holiday with Aragon Active!

Jane. Brisbane. Australia. 2017

“We could not have had a better guide, Alberto is from the area and absolutely passionate about it. He effectively conveys his understanding of geology, wildlife, human history, livelihoods and sustainability, weaving beautiful stories that gave us real insights and enabled us to engage fully with our surroundings. Our small group bonded quickly as we shared in exploring and marvelling at such beautiful places. In one week I transitioned from being stressed and exhausted to feeling inspired, energised and more relaxed than I can remember in ages – Wow!”
