“I went to my Spanish class yesterday and my progress was remarked upon. I must say I felt that the class itself was rather tame by comparison with Roberto’s. And slow…”
Vanessa. Oxfordshire. Learn Spanish & Walking Holiday
This week combines Spanish classes with a selection of our favourite excursions. You will have plenty of opportunities for Spanish conversation whilst learning about local legends, produce, culture and wildlife.
We will visit 2 key sites on the Camino de Santiago including a 9th century monastery in a spectacular mountain setting, once home to the “Santo Grail”! We also visit a tiny local dairy farm, covering the production process from goat herding to cheese tasting, and we will hike in one of the best places to see the majestic “Quebrantahuesos”.
Lessons in the classroom are kept short and focused. Our brilliant local Spanish teacher is inspirational, he has over 20 years experience in teaching Spanish. HE SPEAKS NO ENGLISH!
As well as the cultural excursions, there will be 3 optional guided walks ranging from easy to moderate.
Spanish conversation is maintained throughout the day until the evening meal. To make the most of this week, you should have a level of B2 or above, however, those who have reached level B1.4 may also benefit from this week.
To confirm your level before booking please complete this simple online level test, and email us the result (allow 40 minutes). Once we have the result Lucy will arrange to have a chat in Spanish, just to confirm your level.

Spanish Language & Walking Holiday Advanced Level Itinerary
Immerse yourself in the Spanish language, the culture and the history of area. Talking to local people, whether that is a neighbour, small food producer, or a specialist guide, will help your confidence, and with that comes rapid improvement.
Our local Spanish mountain guide provides another opportunity to speak Spanish. The guided walks give a unique insight into the geology, flora and wildlife, in and around the Ordesa National Park.
Spanish is spoken throughout the day until the evening meal, when you can relax over a glass or two of wine!

Just Some of Our Reviews on this Holiday…
“The Spanish lessons were fun and varied, some in class room and some out in the local villages. We spoke Spanish within the group most of the day – and generally lapsed into English over dinner with a glass of wine in hand! I particularly enjoyed our excursions with Lucy – her knowledge and passion about the local culture and geology was infectious. A particular highlight was a short evening hike to a local village, examining the fossils and geology on route, then chatting in Spanish to local residents who showed us around their homes, church and community hall/school/blacksmiths. A unique experience”.

“I was keen to speak as much Spanish as possible, and I wasn’t disappointed. Lucy is fluent in Spanish herself, and the lessons with the local Spanish teacher were superb. We spoke as much Spanish as we wanted within the group. It was great to converse with like minded people with a similar affection for the Spanish language. They are super attentive hosts, and the food was great too. An amazing holiday”.

“The week was packed with Spanish lessons with a local Spanish professor, trips to local places with very informative Spanish guides and beautiful walks through Pyrenees natural parks. If you want to improve your Spanish language but enjoy the outdoors then I would highly recommend this holiday”.
