Trip Overview

Both our Spanish for Improvers, and our Advanced Spanish Immersion holidays combine Spanish classes with a selection of our favourite excursions.  You will have plenty of opportunities for Spanish conversation whilst learning about local legends, produce, culture and wildlife.

Lessons in the classroom are kept short and focused. Our brilliant local Spanish teacher is inspirational, he has over 20 years experience in teaching Spanish. HE SPEAKS NO ENGLISH!

As well as the cultural excursions, there will be 3 optional guided walks ranging from easy to moderate.

To make the most of these holidays, you should have reached a certain level of Spanish:
Definitions:
Improver / Lower Intermediate Level = A2 to B1
Immersion / Upper Intermediate / Advanced = B2 to C1

To confirm your level before booking please complete this simple online level test, and email us the result (allow 40 minutes).  Once we have the result we will arrange to have a chat in Spanish, just to confirm your level.

Spanish Language Walking Holiday Reviews

I almost hesitate to write a glowing review—only because I’d like to keep this absolutely fantastic retreat a secret! For anyone looking to recharge, practice Spanish, hike, or simply take in the breathtaking mountain views, I couldn’t recommend Aragón Active more highly.

Thank you to our hosts, our Spanish teacher, and our local guides for an unforgettable experience!

Each day was action packed and well thought through – as well as practicing our Spanish, we learnt a lot about the flora, fauna, geology, ecology and history of this beautiful region from our very knowledgeable hosts, Lucy and Simon, as well as our lovely hiking guides. Their enthusiasm and passion for the area and what they do was contagious and uplifting. The scenery on our walks in the mountains was, at times, utterly magical and breathtaking. The location of Casa Allué is also wonderful, so peaceful and with beautiful vistas.

I not only highly recommend this holiday but hope to go on it again myself in the not too distant future!

We recommend to all guests that they make travel arrangements to Zaragoza.

There are direct flights into Zaragoza airport from London Stansted. Alternatively, Zaragoza has high-speed rail links from Barcelona and Madrid. Journey time from both cities is approximately 1½ hours.

From Zaragoza we offer a minibus taxi transfer service, collecting from the airport and the railway station to our Guest House in the Spanish Pyrenees. Transfer time is just under 2 hours. Cost €80 return per person.
