It’s the little things they do so well – everything from going and picking vegetables from their garden, collecting walnuts before the wild boar get them, to all the visits we made to small local producers – goats cheese, olive oil, local sloe spirit.

The itinerary is nicely balanced, with a good mix of cookery classes, guided walks through stunning mountain scenery to visits to a local winery, an Olive Oil producer and an artisan goats cheese maker.

A great place to spend a week. Just be warned, you might, on occasion, have to cook your own dinner and fight their children for pudding!

We learn’t and experienced so much, from the cooking workshops and the wonderful visits to local producers, to walking in the Ordesa national park.
