“It’s the little things they do so well – everything from going and picking vegetables from their garden, collecting walnuts before the wild boar get them to all the visits we made to small local producers.” Claire. Windsor. UK

Our Cooking and Walking Holidays Spain strike a balance between cooking, exploring our region, and walking in the spectacular Ordesa National Park.
Our journey will take us from the high mountains to the foothills of the Pyrenees. Here we will discover the produce of the region, and with this in hand we will create some authentic Spanish dishes, as well as some of our own, all with a Spanish twist of course!

You will be staying at our renovated 17th century farmhouse, within the Pyrenees Geopark, a site recognized by UNESCO as of geological importance.
We are Simon and Lucy your hosts, and the majority of the cookery classes will be held in our spacious guest house kitchen. I, Simon, am passionate about food and cooking, and Lucy has a background in food science. Together we make a great team. So join us, as we share our passion and our tips.

The group size is limited to a maximum of 8 people.

Why not organize a group of friends! With a minimum of 6 people we can make this a private, tailor made holiday.

Just Some of Our Reviews on this Holiday…

“This was an amazing holiday in every way. Lucy and Simon made the 7 of us feel at home straight away. Spacious bedrooms, comfy beds and modern bathrooms…..Albella is a tiny hamlet of a few old houses, a chapel and very old church. It is so peaceful with the sound only of the cuckoo and a few sheep.
We cooked several meals including tapas under the expert guidance of Simon and Lucy. They gave us new useful tips and recipes and we had such fun in the cooking classes.
I returned so rested and rejuvenated and would thoroughly recommend booking one of their holidays. I’ll be going back.”

Vicky. Bath. UK. Cooking Holiday Spain May 2019

“The walking and cooking week far exceeded my expectations!! Accommodations were very comfortable, clean, and in beautiful setting. Simon and Lucy couldn’t have been better hosts. Very thoughtful, planning walking outings based on guests abilities. I went as a solo guest and felt included and very comfortable. Definitely would recommend for solos. We had wonderful picnics which Simon had prepared when we were walking as well as some meals out. But the best for me were the dinners on their patio.
Simon and Lucy’s passion for this beautiful part of the world was transmitted in so many ways. Breathing walks and visits to the Pyrenees. Visiting local artisans like an 80 year old beekeeper, a goat cheese maker, a local vineyard and more. They also imparted local history which has made me determined to read more Spanish history.
I plan to return and hopefully bring my family with me.”

Barbara. California. Cooking Holiday Spain September 2018

“This was my first Aragon Active holiday and I can’t wait to go back. I attended the Cooking and Walking holiday and enjoyed every minute.
The itinerary is nicely balanced, with a good mix of cookery classes, guided walks through stunning mountain scenery to visits to a local winery, an Olive Oil producer and an artisan goats cheese maker. The cookery classes are great fun and really hands on. Everything from picking vegetables from Simon’s organic roof top veg patch, to learning the art of chopping onions and garlic like a professional chef. The best bit is eating the delicious fruits of your labour, made even more enjoyable with some fantastic local wines.
Simon and Lucy are the perfect hosts. They are passionate about the cuisine of the Spanish Pyrenees and wonderful ambassadors for this stunning part of Spain.”

Peter. London. Cooking Holiday Spain October 2017

“Amazing, breath taking, colourful, delightful, engaging, fantastic, gorgeous, informative, and I could go on! Thanks for all your warmth and hard work.”
