“The Pyrenees did not disappoint, the scenery was stunning, the walks were interesting, the wildlife plentiful and the local guides very knowledgeable. I liked the diversity of this holiday there was something for everyone who enjoys being out and about in the countryside.” Philippa. Cambridge. UK
If you love nature, wildlife and the outdoors then you will love our Wildlife Walking Holidays Spain.
Based in rural Aragon, this is one of Europe’s most unexplored and unspoilt regions.
We are Simon and Lucy your hosts and you will be staying at our renovated 17th century farmhouse.
We live within the Pyrenees Geopark, and close to the Ordesa National Park and the Natural Park of Sierra de Guara, both UNESCO world heritage sites. Our daily outings will take us to explore these outstanding areas, making the most of our location.
Did you know the Ordesa National Park is also a World Biosphere Reserve and a ‘Special Protection Area for Birds’. We have more than 1500 species of flowers, 171 species of birds, over 131 species of butterflies, of which 8 are endemic, and 32 different species of mammals.
We are passionate about the countryside as are our carefully selected Nature Experts.
Join us as we show you the fauna and flora of the area and learn a little of the geology and the human stories in this secret corner of the Pyrenees.
The group size is limited to a maximum of 8 people.
Why not organise a group of friends! With a minimum of 6 people we can make this a private, tailor made holiday.

“We went on a week’s Wildlife and Walking holiday. Some of the highlights included:
* The beautiful mountains with so many spring flowers, as well as birds, animals, butterflies and insects;
* Enthusiastic specialist local Spanish guides (botanist, ornithologist and entomologist) as well as Simon and Lucy’s knowledge (birds and geology/history respectively)
* Lovely host family who were so adaptable, hospitable and knowledgeable
* Excellent en-suite accommodation (bedrooms, common rooms etc) – clean, comfortable and lovely views
* All-inclusive as you’ve never before experienced – we really didn’t need any cash as all occasional stops for coffee, drinks and meals were paid for, plus individually prepared picnic lunches, tea and local pastries, wine with all evening meals etc. All food is locally sourced or even grown by Simon & Lucy who prepared all the meals themselves, giving us local Spanish cuisine.
* Well planned trips with variety and plenty of explanations, including local history, culture, geology, flowers, birds and wild animals etc.
* Amazing attention to detail”

“Snow capped mountains , beautiful flowers, soaring birds, expertly organised and generous hospitality Casa Allue is a great base for a week’s immersion in the environment, history and local culture of central Pyrenees. Simon and Lucy have created a high quality experience featuring most generous hospitality – absolutely everything is included. Delicious, healthy breakfast, picnic lunch, evening meal served on the west facing terrace watching a different sunset every evening.
The local specialist guides (botanist, mountain ranger and fabulous lepidopterist, Enrique, like someone out of Gerald Durrell) showed us the natural wonders with infectious enthusiasm.
Our small group (two couples, three singles) quickly became a harmonious team, invisibly and sensitively herded by Simon. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make this a great holiday.”

“My husband and I joined the Wildlife Walks holiday based at this superb guest house in a setting that was even more beautiful and peaceful than imaged. We wanted spectacular scenery, trips out to explore the wild delights of the Aragon area, combined with excellent locally-sourced food and all home comforts. The ethical credentials of the business was also an important factor in our choice…
This was everything we wanted, plus more.
The landscape, geology, wildlife and history of this part of the Pyrenees is truly amazing and Casa Allué was the perfect base from which to appreciate it.”
