Guided Runs
WALKS & GUIDES
Two Running guides
Our runs tend to take around the 4-5 hours mark, but this includes ascents, which, depending upon the incline we will walk. We have two running guides who accompany you, this ensures we can cater for groups with a mix of experience and speed.
Our lead guide and running coach is Jonathan. Staying throughout the week, Jonathan can advise on what gear to choose, running techniques, nutrition and developing race strategies (see Jonathan’s blog).
In addition to his running and coaching Jonathan is also a member of the Bush Search & Rescue unit in his home state of NSW, Australia.
Credentials: Hardrock 100 (Colorado, USA), UTMB 100m (European Alps), Commonwealth Trail Championships representing Australia (Wales, UK) gaining a bronze team medal, Buffalo Stampede Sky Race (Australian Alps), Ultra Trail Australia 100km (Blue Mountains), Ultra Trail Pirineu 110km (Pyrenees, Spain).
Our second guide will always be a local qualified mountain guide, and of course an experienced trail runner. We are very fortunate to have access to a number of talented local guides.
Reviews
Fantastic guides…
Simon and Lucy provided our running group with fantastic guides who were able to provide both the local knowledge of the Pyrenees mountains and years of experience of trail running. We were treated to fantastic runs with simply stunning views every day.
The guides selected to accompany us on our walks/runs where great and answered all questions put to them with great knowledge and enthusiasm. A great holiday enjoyed with wonderful company.
Our hosts and guides excelled with their local knowledge, even anticipating the weather to find the best places for us to go out each day.
The guides were able to cater for different levels of fitness and pace without any issues.
